Peisey-Vallandry Ski Lessons

This season we can recommend different ski schools depending on your needs and the number of people. All should be booked to Plan Peisey (rather than Vallandry).

ESF Peisey Vallandry

This is the French national ski school which offers value for money if there are 1 or 2 of you happy with a group lesson (note that these no longer include the lift pass). Their website is open to take bookings from 1 September, so make a note in your diary if you need lessons during peak weeks (New Year and February school holidays) which sell out very quickly.

Ski-Aim - Arcs in Motion Snowsports School

These are very reasonable, especially if you have a small group of a similar level (teaching up to 6 people off peak season). All English speaking and a high standard of teaching.

Evolution 2

Evolution 2 are a French company with English speaking lessons. They have a good reputation and run group and private lessons. Based in Vallandry, they run a shuttle in the morning from the top of the Lonzagne lift to Vallandry to ensure you can arrive in time for morning lessons. The shuttle only takes two minutes, saving you the ten minute walk in ski boots.

New Generation aka NewGen

New Gen offer great tuition and a personalised service. Lesson groups are small and all English speaking. Please note however that NewGen lessons start in Vallandry, so this would not be suitable for complete beginners who cannot ski there in the morning. Beginners should take afternoon lessons to give them time to get there (5 minutes on the free shuttle bus). Otherwise private lessons are fine* as they can be booked to start in Plan Peisey.

* though not for complete beginners, because the complete beginners practice area is in Vallandry which is difficult to get to in the morning. For complete beginners wanting morning lessons, we'd recommend Evolution 2 who run a shuttle - see above.

HighFive Snowboard School

Purely for snowboarders, the team comprises ex-professionals and olympians, and also current international team coaches. They are very reasonably priced and our recommended school to go to for snowboarding lessons.
