This season we can recommend different ski schools depending on your needs and the number of people. All should be booked to Plan Peisey (rather than Vallandry).
Ski Schools in Peisey-Vallandry
This is the French national ski school which offers value for money if there are 1 or 2 of you happy with a group lesson. Note that these no longer include the lift pass.
These are very reasonable, especially if you have a small group of a similar level (teaching up to 6 people off peak season). All English speaking and a high standard of teaching.
Evolution 2 have a good reputation and are now operating out of Peisey. This is a French company with English speaking lessons and they run group and private lessons. They also offer helisking where they take you to Italy - for experienced skiers only!
New Gen offer great tuition and all English speaking in small groups. They offer a great personalised service. Please note that NewGen lessons start in Vallandry, so this would not be suitable for complete beginners who cannot ski there in the morning. Beginners should take afternoon lessons to give them time to get there (5 minutes on the free shuttle bus). Otherwise private lessons are fine as they can be booked to start in Plan Peisey so there is no problem getting there in the morning.
Independent Snowboard and Ski Instructors in Peisey-Vallandry
Previously working for NewGen, Ally Brown is an excellent ski instructor who now works independently. We can highly recommend him. His website is coming soon but in the meantime please contact Ally directly by email: [email protected]
Aurelien Chollet is a private instructor we can recommend. He doesn't have a website but can be contacted directly here: +33 (0)6 15 83 38 91 or email: [email protected]
Purely for snowboarders, the team comprises ex-professionals and olympians, and also current international team coaches. They are very reasonably priced and our recommended school to go to for snowboarding lessons.
