Peisey-Vallandry Ski Resort

It’s Big!

Paradiski is the second largest ski area in the world with over 425 km of marked runs and altitude ranging from 1200 to 3250 metres. There are two sides to the resort: Les Arcs with 200 km of runs and La Plagne with 225 km of runs.

The ski area consists of 20 villages with many named either Arc (on the Les Arcs side) or Plan (on the La Plagne side) and then their altitude. Peisey Vallandry where the chalet is located is technically its own resort, but it is part of Les Arcs for the purpose of buying a lift pass.

Peisey Vallandry and Les Arcs are connected to La Plagne by the Vanoise Express. This modern cable car is capable of transporting 2000 passengers per hour in each direction, and takes just 4 minutes from one side to the other.

Throughout the resort you’ll find everything from gentle nursery slopes and cruising tree-lined blue runs to challenging moguls, perfect off-piste powder and a choice of two snow parks. Whether you ski or board or prefer to try out something different, such as Nordic skiing, dog sledding or try a horse drawn sleigh – Paradiski is snow heaven.

It's Snow-sure

Paradiski is a high resort, with more than 70 percent of the ski area above 2000 m. There are two glaciers (both available to ski) and extensive snow making facilities on the slopes, so you can be sure that you’ll find the best conditions available, whenever you choose to visit.

Suitable For All Abilities

In Peisey Vallandry we have the intimate, easily conquerable tree lined runs which are invaluable for providing visibility and shelter on those heavy snowfall days, and picturesque when it’s sunny. There are two nursery slopes and plenty of gentle blues if you’re a beginner; rapid reds and a couple of black pistes for the more adventurous.

For the freestylers amongst you, a SnowPark and half-pipe can be found above Arc 1800. Also on this side of the resort are two Boarder Cross runs, time trial and racing pistes, high altitude tobogganing and the infamous water jump!

The Les Arcs side of the resort has over 100 pistes for all levels of ability, effortlessly linking Peisey Vallandry, Arc 1600, 1800, 1950 and 2000. And across Paradiski there are 31 black, 64 red, 125 blue & 12 green runs and 144 lifts. The area is also excellent for off-piste skiing.

Cross-country Skiing

Not far from the chalet there is a a cross-country skiing area with 43km of gentle tracks set within a stunning landscape. If you've never tried it, it's great fun but quite hard work. It's also a great way to see the amazing scenery at the end of the valley in the Vanoise National Park.
